The Democratic Action Party (DAP) Stampin branch has reaffirmed its commitment to initiatives that empower children, according to Michael Kong.

The special assistant to the DAP Sarawak chairman took part in the branch’s ‘Back-to-School’ programme, visiting SJKC Sam Hap Hin and SJK Chung Hua Sungai Lubak to distribute school shoes, stationery, and water bottles to pupils.

Supporting Families and Students

“As part of our ongoing Back-to-School initiative, we continue to support families in managing the rising cost of living while ensuring students are well-prepared and motivated for the new school year,” Kong stated in a press release.

“This annual programme reflects our firm belief that education is the key to opening doors and creating limitless opportunities for our young generation,” he added.

Encouraging Excellence

Kong emphasized that the visits also served as an opportunity to encourage pupils to study diligently, pursue their aspirations, and strive for excellence.

“Through this initiative, we want every student to know that we stand with them throughout their learning journey. When our children succeed, our community thrives,” he expressed.

Kong distributes goodies bags to pupils during his visit as part of the Back-to-School initiative.
