Children from orphanages under the Orphans Welfare Organisation of Malaysia (Peryatim) enjoyed a delightful tea party at a KFC outlet last weekend.
The event was organized by the Sibu branch of the National Association of Life Insurance and Family Takaful Advisors (Namlifa).
Community Support Initiatives
According to Catherine Huang, the organizing chairwoman, this programme is part of the association’s ongoing commitment to assist the less fortunate during the festive season.
“Each year, we organize similar charitable activities for selected groups from the underprivileged community,” she stated.
“We aim to bring joy and laughter to the children as we celebrate the festive cheer together,” she added.
Event Highlights
Huang also mentioned that branch committee members volunteered to help with the event, where the children received sponsored goodie bags and stationery packs.
To enhance the festive spirit, an orchestra performance took place, infusing the atmosphere with merriment.
