Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor announced that the Sabah state government will prioritize addressing three significant issues next year: roads, water, and electricity.

He emphasized that these matters are the government’s top priority during a discussion following the tabling of the 2026 State Budget at the State Legislative Assembly.

Focus on Improvement

Hajiji further stated that the upcoming budget demonstrates the government’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the living standards of the people of Sabah.

The government aims to continue initiatives that support the well-being of the underprivileged alongside education and human capital development in the upcoming year.

Budget Allocation

Finance Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun presented a surplus budget for the state, with total expenditures amounting to RM6.402 billion against an estimated revenue of RM6.430 billion for 2026.

The Ministry of Public Works and Utilities, responsible for managing roads, water supply, and electricity, has received an allocation of RM1.122 billion for development projects next year.
