“Should there be any material corporate development, we will make the necessary disclosures to the market in a timely manner,” Maxis said in response to Bernama’s query.
According to its website, Maxis currently has a market capitalisation of US$6.7 billion to US$6.9 billion (RM27.2 billion to RM28.3 billion) as of October 2026.
Meanwhile, Maxis share price closed 14 sen lower at RM3.51 with 4.83 million shares traded.
Earlier, Bloomberg was quoted as saying the potential merger could create the country’s largest wireless operator by market value. — Bernama
