Pasukan Siasatan Jenayah Narkotik (JSJN) Sarawak baru-baru ini berjaya menumpaskan dua sindiket pengedaran dadah besar dan merampas pelbagai bahan terlarang bernilai dianggarkan RM16.8 juta.

Menurut Asisten Komisioner Merbin Yoilin, Ketua JSJN Sarawak, operasi yang dijalankan sepanjang minggu lalu meliputi tiga daerah utama di negeri ini—Kuching, Sibu dan Miri. Serbuan bersepadu itu turut melibatkan kerjasama Agensi Antidadah Kebangsaan (AADK) dan unit risikan Bukit Aman. Keseluruhan sembilan individu telah ditahan, termasuk dalang utama yang dipercayai mengimport bahan terlarang dari negara jiran.

Antara rampasan utama adalah lebih 30 kilogram methamphetamine (syabu), kira-kira 5 kilogram morphine dan hampir 1,200 pil ekstasi. Pasukan penguatkuasa juga menemui beberapa kereta mewah dan wang tunai melebihi RM100,000 yang dipercayai hasil aktiviti haram. Semua suspek kini direman bagi siasatan lanjut di bawah Seksyen 39B Akta Dadah Berbahaya 1952.

Merbin menegaskan operasi ini adalah antara yang terbesar pernah dijalankan di Sarawak tahun ini, menunjukkan komitmen JSJN untuk membanteras sindiket pengedaran dadah secara besar-besaran. “Kami tidak akan bertolak ansur dengan mana-mana pihak yang terlibat dalam kegiatan dadah. Orang ramai juga diingatkan supaya terus menyalurkan maklumat kepada pihak berkuasa bagi mempercepat tindakan,” ujarnya.

Sementara itu, polis masih mengesan beberapa kumpulan sampingan aktif di kawasan pedalaman Sarawak. Siasatan kini diperluas untuk membongkar rangkaian dan sumber bekalan bagi menghapuskan jenayah terancang ini sepenuhnya.
