GPS tolak dakwaan senarai calon PRN Sarawak yang tersebar

KUCHING: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) hari ini menafikan keaslian senarai calon Pilihan Raya Negeri (PRN) Sarawak ke-12 yang kini tular di media sosial.

Setiausaha Agung GPS, Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, menegaskan bahawa dokumen itu bukan dokumen rasmi parti dan belum dibincangkan atau diputuskan oleh Majlis Tertinggi GPS. “Sehingga kini, proses pemilihan calon masih mengikuti prosedur parti,” katanya dalam kenyataan akhbar petang ini.

Menurut Dr Sim, GPS hanya akan mengumumkan calon-calon rasmi setelah semua peringkat semakan dalaman selesai dan persetujuan diperoleh dalam mesyuarat Majlis Tertinggi yang dijadualkan tidak lama lagi. “Sebarang senarai yang tersebar sebelum pengumuman rasmi boleh menimbulkan kekeliruan dan mungkin memuatkan maklumat tidak tepat,” ujarnya.

Dr Sim turut menyeru orang ramai agar merujuk saluran komunikasi rasmi GPS, seperti laman web dan kenyataan media, untuk mendapatkan maklumat terkini mengenai calon PRN Sarawak. Beliau mengingatkan bahawa sebarang maklumat palsu atau separa benar yang disebarkan boleh mencetuskan kekeliruan dan menjejaskan persepsi terhadap proses pilihan raya negeri.

Tarikh penamaan calon PRN Sarawak ditetapkan pada 17 Julai, manakala hari pengundian ialah 7 Ogos. GPS menegaskan komitmen mereka untuk mengekalkan ketelusan dalam proses pelantikan calon dan berusaha menampilkan calon-calonnya yang berwibawa serta berpengalaman memperjuangkan kepentingan Sarawak.
