A RM3 million state grant has been allocated toward final touches on the stadium’s lighting and seating, while Miri’s hotels and transport networks have mapped out shuttle services to ensure athletes and guests move smoothly between venues, training camps and accommodation. In addition, local tourism operators are designing special weekend packages for visiting fans keen to combine sport with Sarawak’s renowned culinary, cultural and wildlife attractions.
