KUALA LUMPUR, May 29 — Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has issued RM4 billion worth of Sustainability Sukuk Wakalah under its Sukuk Wakalah Programme.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, the electric utility company stated that the issuance, the first under the programme, comprised five tranches.

“The tranches include: RM450 million with a seven-year tenure carrying a periodic distribution rate of 3.81 per cent per annum; RM300 million with a 10-year tenure at 3.93 per cent; RM850 million with a 15-year tenure at 4.19 per cent; RM1.05 billion with a 20-year tenure at 4.31 per cent; and RM1.35 billion with a 25-year tenure at 4.37 per cent,” said TNB. 

Maybank Investment Bank Bhd and CIMB Investment Bank Bhd are acting as joint principal advisers and joint lead arrangers for the Sukuk Wakalah Programme, as well as joint lead managers for the RM4 billion issuance. — Bernama
