Menurut Pengarah Bomba dan Penyelamat Sarawak, Haji Ahmad Faizal bin Salleh, cuaca kering dan panas berpanjangan meningkatkan risiko kebakaran. “Kami telah memperhebatkan rondaan intensif serta operasi pemadaman pantas di kawasan berisiko tinggi. Orang ramai juga diingatkan mematuhi garis panduan pembakaran terbuka, memastikan pendawaian elektrik dalam keadaan baik dan sentiasa memantau sumber api kecil sebelum meninggalkan premis,” ujarnya.

Bomba menasihatkan orang awam agar segera menghubungi talian kecemasan 999 atau menggunakan aplikasi Emergengypass sekiranya menyaksikan kebakaran atau aktiviti mencurigakan. Kerjasama komuniti, menurutnya, adalah kunci untuk mengawal insiden kebakaran, terutamanya di kawasan terdedah kepada angin kencang dan suhu tinggi.
