KUCHING (Feb 3): Padawan police are on the hunt for the driver of a silver Perodua car linked to a fatal hit-and-run on Jalan Puncak Borneo on Monday morning.
Padawan police chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi said a 37-year-old woman died in the 7.30am incident.
“The victim was about to enter her vehicle, which was parked by the roadside, when a silver Perodua car hit her from the back,” he said in a statement.
He said the vehicle fled the scene.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mohd Irwan called on witnesses or those with information on the accident to contact traffic investigating officer Insp Abang Azizil Fansuri Abang Abdullah on 014-8677853 to assist with the investigation.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
