During a recent awards ceremony, Sarawak transport Minister Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin spoke about the vital components of student success. He stated that it relies not just on the dedication of teachers but significantly on the active involvement of parents and a student’s intrinsic motivation.

Lee emphasized the necessity for parents to actively engage in their children’s educational journeys. This includes providing guidance, encouragement, and fostering a nurturing home environment that supports both academic pursuits and character development.

“Teachers are the backbone of a child’s education, but parents are equally important partners in ensuring a student’s success. At the same time, students themselves must have strong commitment and motivation to excel,” he explained.
