Two primary school pupils here made Malaysia proud after winning gold and silver medals at the 11th Global Pro Robot Championship (GPRC) 2025 held in Seoul, South Korea on December 7.
The students, from Zenius Tech Miri and chosen to represent Zenius Tech Malaysia, excelled in the Speed Touch category, competing against more than 1,200 participants from six countries at the international robotics event held at the COEX Convention Centre.
Outstanding Achievements
Lyndon Sim Yan Zuo, a pupil from SJK(C) North Miri, clinched the gold medal, while Hasif Rithauddin from Sekolah Rendah Sri Knewton, Miri, secured the silver medal.
Zenius Tech Miri, in a statement, noted that the championship attracted participants from various countries including Malaysia, China, Thailand, Mongolia, Hong Kong, and South Korea, featuring intense competition across multiple categories.
Impressive Performance
“Despite the challenging conditions, including winter temperatures, the Malaysian contingent delivered an impressive performance,” it stated.
Furthermore, the team, which included several other pupils from various schools in Kedah and Johor, achieved a total of two gold, two silver, and three bronze medals at the championship.
