Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan has mandated that all departments and agencies within the Limbang Division adhere to a strict reporting format for submitting updates on development projects.

During the Limbang Division Development Action Committee Meeting held at the Lawas District Council, Awang Tengah underscored the necessity of consistent and precise reporting to identify challenges during project implementation and to devise effective solutions.

Importance of Proper Reporting

“When reports conform to the correct format, it becomes much clearer to identify issues and address them efficiently,” stated Awang Tengah, who also serves as the State Second Minister for Natural Resources and Urban Development.

He has directed each implementing agency to provide comprehensive lists of their projects, categorized as progressing smoothly, completed ahead of schedule, or experiencing delays.

“Some projects are advancing well, while others are still under construction or remain in the planning phase. I have requested explanations for any delays and suggestions for accelerating progress,” he explained.

Recognizing Success and Addressing Delays

The Bukit Sari assemblyman emphasized the significance of acknowledging successful projects that have been completed ahead of schedule, as these serve as benchmarks for improving project delivery across the board.

He noted that projects facing delays must be prioritized, with agencies responsible for identifying weaknesses and coordinating practical solutions without further delays.

“We need to determine the reasons behind the delays, pinpoint shortcomings, and discuss how to correct them. All of this hinges on our adherence to the correct reporting format,” he added.

The six-hour meeting saw the participation of Lawas MP Dato Henry Sum Agong, Batu Danau assemblyman Datuk Paulus Palu Gumbang, Limbang Resident Unus Tambi, political secretary to the Premier Awangku Jinal Abedin Dato Pengiran Jawa, Lawas District Officer Ladin Atok, and heads of state and federal departments in the division.
