KUCHING (Jan 4): The number of flood victims in Sarawak continues to decline, with seven temporary evacuation centres (PPS) still open here.
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in an update this afternoon, said 918 victims from 238 households are still sheltered at the seven PPS.
The PPS that remain active are Dewan Masyarakat Stapok (97 victims), Dewan R Piang Kampung Sinar Budi Baru (104 victims), Dewan Surau Nurul Najhin Stapok (55 victims), Dewan Serbaguna Taman Malihah (132 victims), SJK Chung Hua Sungai Tengah (191 victims), SJK Chung Hua Batu Kawa (211 victims), and at Masjid Darul Istiqlaal (128 victims).
